Our Principles
Principles of Recovery, Resiliency, and Cultural Competency
We believe everyone is capable of recovery and resiliency. Children, adults and their families who rely on publicly funded behavioral health and human services can live and work successfully in community settings when appropriate treatment and support are accessible and available.
These principles are built into all of our public sector programs and shared freely with the public through our Recovery and Resiliency e-Learning Center.
A Reliance on Partnership
Magellan collaborates with providers, national advocacy organizations, individuals and their families to design, manage and continually improve behavioral health systems for government agencies. Our partners include:
- State and County Government Agencies as they build, manage or transform their public mental health and substance abuse systems.
- Individuals and Families who play a variety of critical roles including participating on our Program Advisory Boards and Quality Improvement committees.
- Service Providers to gain their unique perspective on the public sector consumers' behavioral health needs and resources available to meet those needs.
- National advocacy organizations to support and promote behavioral health and wellness for everyone.
Experience and Proven Leadership
Our operations and clinical professionals apply decades of experience in the treatment of mental illness, addiction, and developmental disabilities to serve individuals and families within the public health agency setting. Each team member draws on personal experience in designing and delivering responsive and compassionate care management systems.
A Foundation of Quality Excellence
At Magellan, quality is the foundation upon which our operations, policies and practices are built. It is evident in everything we do from ongoing measurement and transparent reporting of clinical quality outcomes, to satisfaction surveys that monitor customer service, and action plans to continually improve service. Our commitment to quality is recognized across the industry through national accreditations, awards and much more.
Commitment to Innovation
