Today's seniors are smarter about their health care, living longer, and demanding a higher quality of life than their parents had during their senior years. And as the baby-boom generation approaches retirement, the demand for health care services for seniors will only continue to grow.   

To meet this growing demand, Magellan is partnering with health plans to provide behavioral health benefits management and care management programs for seniors covered under Medicare Advantage and for seniors dually eligible for Medicaid and Medicare coverage.  Our care managers work with members to address a wide variety of senior health issues ranging from depression and social isolation to behavioral health barriers that impact physical and mental health and total health care utilization.

Magellan's Senior Health program is having a positive impact with documented results including improved health status, increased community tenure and reduced hospital days resulting in an improved quality of life and cost savings for customers and members.
